Food Program

Here at Waseca, we are committed to providing nutritious and delicious options for our students at a low cost to our families. We serve whole foods while avoiding high sugar content and processed foods containing preservatives whenever possible. We strive to provide a menu that allows children to be exposed to a variety of foods often and at an early age. We are proud to provide vegan, vegetarian, dairy free, and gluten free options for students who need them.

Our Head Chef has developed a menu that features a fifteen-day rotation cycle that changes seasonally. Parents are provided with monthly menus so they are always aware of what is served each day. Children are offered breakfast, morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, and late-afternoon snack. We also offer cow or soy milk for our students.

Parents can opt-in to our food program for only $30/month.

Our Head Chef

Jacob VanDewark began his time in the Waseca School community as a parent. Prior to beginning as our Head Chef, he worked all over the country managing multiple restaurants and kitchens, and even working to found a steakhouse from the ground up. Jacob began working with us because he feels how rewarding it is to help expand children’s pallets and expose them to many types of food from all over the world.
