We are excited that you’re ready to join the Waseca family!
Here are a few things to know about admissions processes:
- Placement in the Infant and Pre-Primary programs are determined by both your child’s age and development. There are no hard and fast deadlines for entrance or cutoffs, rather we focus on where the child will be challenged in an environment that will also nurture them and help them thrive. You can view detailed descriptions of each program’s age guidelines on their respective pages.
- An online application (with a $25 fee) is necessary to start the enrollment process. In the event that we have a wait-list for our programs, completing the application online will put you in the queue there.
- Observation is integral to the enrollment process as it provides a window into the Montessori Method and gives a parent direct access to the classroom of interest. We do offer formal tours of our facilities, but these tours do not include access to our classrooms. A personal observation gives a parent the best opportunity to see what the children and guides do in our environments and often generates questions which can be asked of the guide.
- When an application and observation are completed, if there is a space for your child in our program, a $250 non-refundable annual registration fee will be due.
